金刚砂简介：

      金刚砂是笼统的叫法，可以是碳化硅，也可以是棕刚玉，亦可以是黑刚玉。金刚砂又叫石榴石砂，这是因为它的产生条件而起的，是一种硅酸盐矿物质。金刚砂原材料经过简单加工可分几个等级，筛选分级等方法制成的研磨材料硬度很大，大约是莫氏7-8度。一般的是棕色颗粒。纯的是无色晶体，密度3.06～3.20，硬度很大，大约是莫氏9.5度。一般的是无色粉状颗粒。磨碎以后，可以作研磨粉，可制擦光纸，又可制磨轮和砥石的摩擦表面。

金刚砂特点：

金刚砂的冶炼工艺： 

刚玉冶炼一般有三种方法： 

    1. 流放发：连续生产，自动化程度高，但投资大，结构复杂，适合于大功率冶炼。 

    2. 倾倒法：连续生产，机械化程度高，投资较小，生产效率好，目前使用普遍的一种方法。 

    3. 固定法(熔块法)：间断生产，机械化程度低，但投资小，设备简单，工艺方便，是目前小型磨料厂进行刚玉冶炼的主要方法。

      金刚砂可作为高温燃气轮机上的涡轮叶片，也可作耐磨的密封材料，还可作火箭尾喷管的喷嘴及轻质的防弹用品等。应用于单晶硅、水晶玻璃、玉器等领域的自由研磨，是国内普遍采用的高级研磨材料。   

      金刚砂磨碎以后，可以作研磨粉，可制擦光纸，又可制磨轮和砥石的摩擦表面。 生产使用历史悠久，古代我国就有使用金刚砂研磨水晶玻璃，各种玉石的史例。十九世纪四十年代又远销东洋。分粗目，中目，细目三大类。各种目数粒度均匀，颗粒形状均一，成棱叫角晶体，有锋利的边缘，磨削力高。供石材类工业研磨大理石及其它软质材料。玻璃类工业研磨玻璃毛边，电视机显像管，光学器械，镜片，棱镜，钟表用玻璃等。金属类工业喷砂，除锈，研磨。印刷工业研磨胶版，以及轻工业加工塑样，皮革，砂纸等用途。金刚砂任性强，具有介壳状段口之特性，其优点是磨件的光洁度高，砂痕少而浅。磨面细而均匀，可提高产品质量。金刚砂的研磨时间短，效益高，价格低廉，可弥补寿命短的不足。
